Hi, everyone! I am Iriosal. I want to first say a huge thank you to Btjm for allowing my own little corner to blog in. She is a dear friend, and she has taught me so much! God bless you, sister! I love you dearly. I am sure you are thinking, what a strange name Iriosal is. I chose this name as my pen name for a specific reason. I am from Scottish descent. My great grandfather was a full blooded Scott who came to this country from Scotland as a poor and humble man. He had children who were very hard workers and His son, my grandfather whom I call Papa, married a beautifully humble and loving woman, my grandmother that I lovingly call Nanny. She was the kindest, most loving person I have ever known. She had a child-like faith in God, knowing Him and loving Him, and ever eager to learn about Him. Nanny and Papa are in heaven now, and I want to dedicate my page to them. I know I will see them soon. I strive to be like them, being ever kind and humble. So that is one reason why I chose the name Iriosal, it is the Gaelic Scottish word for “humble.” But there is another reason for this name. I am a follower and servant of Jesus Christ, my beautiful Messiah and Savior. I read in the Bible how He, as God and Creator, chose to humble Himself and come to this earth, not only to teach us and show us the ways of God, but to die for us so that we would not have to die in our sins. “ And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:8 I love these verses. It shows us that Jesus is the ultimate example of humility, even though He is the only One who ever had a legitimate reason to be arrogant. He became humble for us only because He loved us. Oh, how I want to serve Him, to be more like Him, to have that servant’s heart, to be humble! This verse is also a prophecy, that the time is coming when every knee will bow to Him, and every tongue confess that He is Lord! That time is coming sooner than you may think! I have studied Bible Prophecy for most of my life, and I believe we are living in the End Times. The Rapture could happen at any moment, and I feel that our time on this earth is very short. This is yet another reason why I want to join the blogging world right now. Even if only a few ever read my words, I want to warn the world that the life as we know it will soon end. For believers, we will be transformed in the twinkling of an eye to meet our Savior in the air: For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17 In my future posts, I will be writing about the fulfillment of Bible prophecy, Scripture and how it fits in the end times, but mostly I will write about the love of my Savior, for I cannot stop praising Him!
