Another excellent video to consider from one of my favorite sites Revelationchapter12.com. Paul continues the study of the New Year that falls on a Jubilee. Israel has not been counting the Jubilees officially so end times prophecy watchers can only speculate and note some major events that have occurred in Israel. One thing that added to the year counts was due to a prophecy found in 1217 by a rabbi named Judah Ben Samuel. You can read a bit more on that HERE , HERE and HERE. Now I must add that Rabbi Judah Ben Samuel’s prophecy states that the Messiah is to come back in said Jubilee year (that would fall in 2017). We know that Jesus will not be back to establish his kingdom on this earth for the thousand years until after the 7 year tribulation. So, if anyone does happen to pop up this year and claim to be the Messiah or is supported as such that the person would have to be false or Antichrist. Take THIS article in to consideration for more background about it. But, to add to the rabbi’s prophecy, last year the Sanhedrin actually did declare the Jubilee. See this article: “Hallow the Fiftieth Year”: Sanhedrin Declares Year of the Jubilee. If that is the case then the new year for this year would not officially be declared until September 10th, 2017 on Yom Kippur. I of course find this intriguing and a strong possibility to add to our watching for the SOON rapture. I’ll surely be looking forward to this week to see what if anything unfolds. If the rapture does happen this year and some guy comes on the scene to bring “peace” in the fall out then we can safely say yeah, the Jubilee was correct and that dude is the Antichrist. I won’t be here but, if you unfortunately are or anyone else then, look for the TRUE messiah Jesus to come back in 7 years time. 😉 Now that you have a bit of background we need to go into the scriptures and read where God tells the Jews to declare the New Year on the 10th of Tishrei in a Jubilee year.
Here are the instructions stated here in Leviticus:
Leviticus 25:9-10 ~
Then you shall sound the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. On the Day of Atonement you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land. 10 And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, when each of you shall return to his property and each of you shall return to his clan.
And here from The William Davidson Talmud:
§ The mishna teaches: The first of Tishrei is also the New Year for Jubilee Years. The Gemara asks: Is the New Year for Jubilee Years on the first of Tishrei? Isn’t the New Year for Jubilee Years on the tenth of Tishrei, Yom Kippur? As it is written: “Then shall you cause the shofar to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, on Yom Kippur shall you sound the shofar throughout all your land. And you shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants; it shall be a Jubilee for you” (Leviticus 25:9–10).
